Magdalena Gruziel – Conductor

A graduate of Eurhythmics at the Faculty of Music Education of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and Postgraduate Studies in Choral Conducting and Voice Production at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. Since 2015, she has been a lecturer in the "Ballet Pedagogy" specialization at the Faculty of Dance of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. Professionally, she is also affiliated with the Roman Turczynowicz General Ballet School in Warsaw. 

She has performed with numerous choirs and vocal ensembles, including the Alla Polacca Choir (conducted by Sabina Włodarska), the Polish Jeunesses Musicales Choir (conducted by Ewa Strusińska), the Musica Aeterna Vocal Ensemble (conducted by Andrzej Borzym Jr.), and the Varsoviae Regii Cantores choir (conducted by Joanna Maluga). She has participated in many competitions and concerts both in Poland and abroad, including performances in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, and the USA. 

Her stage experience includes performances at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Pomeranian Philharmonic, and the Polish Radio Concert Studio. She has recorded several CDs released by labels such as the Alla Polacca Foundation, DUX, and Acte Préalable.

Since 2015, she has served as the conductor and artistic director of the SIRENES Chamber Choir. She also collaborates with the WULS (SGGW) Choir in Warsaw. Furthermore, she has led workshops as part of the Choral Academy projects organized by the Witold Lutosławski National Forum of Music.



Karolina Silkina – Assistant Conductor

Conductor, pianist, vocalist, and specialist in marketing communications and Public Relations. She is a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, specializing in Ensemble Conducting, Choral Conducting (class of Professor Bogdan Gola), and Choral Vocal Studies (class of Associate Professor Dorota Całek). She also graduated from the University of Warsaw, specializing in Public Relations and Media Marketing, and is currently continuing her education at the School of Social Sciences of the University of Warsaw. 

She is the founder and conductor of the Choir of the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies at the University of Warsaw, as well as the Schola at St. James the Apostle Parish in Warsaw. Previously, she served as assistant conductor for the John Paul II Centre Choir (under the direction of Jan Krutul). Since 2024, she has been affiliated with the SIRENES Chamber Choir. 

As a chorister, she has collaborated with ensembles such as the Chopin University Chamber Choir, the choir of the Warsaw Chamber Opera, the University of Warsaw Academic Choir, and the University of Economics in Katowice Choir. Her stage experience includes performances at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Rzeszów and Kielce Philharmonics, the National Forum of Music, Polish Radio, and various other artistic venues in Poland and abroad. 

In recognition of her achievements, she was invited to join the Jury of the "Queen of the Adriatic Sea Choral Festival and Competition" in Rimini, Italy. She was a three-time recipient of the John Paul II Scholarship of the City of Warsaw and the face of the advertising campaign "Scholarships that create the future of Warsaw." From 2018 to 2021, she served as a music journalist for the International Choral Bulletin (published by the International Federation for Choral Music).
